| Kunwar Vikram Singh 136. entry 10.09.2007, 00:40 | Sat Sri Akal & Jai Deva I am Kunwar Vikram Singh ,Chairman of Sanyukta Kshatriya Mahasangh, an apex body of all Rajput organisations of India.I was earlier Chairman of Punjab Rajput Mahasabha having its hqs at Pathankot.Recently we approached Sardar Prakash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab and invited him to be the Chief Guest at the birth aniversary commoration celebration of Great Maharana Pratap at Pathankot on July 17, 2007. He gladly acepted our invitation and also announced that the function shall be organised as State Function for years to come. This conference was jointly organised by Hindu & Sikh Rajputs of Punjab. More than 30 thousand people participated in this conference. The Chief Minister also re named the bus stand of Pathankot as Maharana Pratap Inter state Bus Stand and laid the foundation of an equastrain statue of Great Maharana Pratap. Hon'ble Chief Minister also agreed to name a state highway on the name of Great Baba Banda Bahadur. I belong to his clan. It was a good begining in Punjab and now Sikh and Hindu rajputs will organise joint functions to celebrate the birthdays of our great warirors and other days of historic importance.We all must feel proud of our common heritage and great history.
