It is heartening to know that depite partition of Punjab rajpoots are stillsticking together. For your information before partitition my village consisted of both Chauhan and Bhatti Rajpoots. On partition Bhatti Rajpoots from my village decided to migrate to Pakistan despite our pleas to stay till calm returned. The little mosque minerts were pulled down by them on the instructions of Dhulla Bhatti and mosque deconsicrated. The villagers escorted them to transit camp near phillaur. Not even one life was lost nor their possessions touched. Dulla Bhati brick house is now made a hospital on my request to Late Dr Zail singh Ji President of India. At time of partition I was 10 years old. I am now 74 years. Old memories will always remain. |
